As of January 1, 2026, Laurie’s practice is focused on helping people that have been hurt, and representing people accused of driving while intoxicated. This focus allows her to manage her caseload to ensure you get the attention you need. She will only take on a limited number of cases so if you want her to help, please call for an appointment.

Laurie has practiced law for over 35 years. She grew up in Lincoln, Missouri. She received her undergraduate degree from Missouri Western State University and her law degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1990. Since then, she tried cases, argued cases at the court of appeals and practiced in front of the United States Supreme Court.

She is married to her best friend, Steve Ward and lives in Benton County.
